With all respect to the EMH / Vanguard diehard crowd, I find it always amazing, how they tend to attack other approaches - active / value/ technical. Here is an example, my polemic with Larry Swedroe, best-selling author and educator, whom I greatly respect.
This reminds me religious debates. Folks, there is more than one approach dealing with financial future (investing)! Find what works for you, educate others, if you want to, and don't belittle all other approaches as 'inferior' or 'imprudent'. In fact, 'imprudent' may manifest itself in any of them.

We all know that the Earth is not flat. However, how many artificial objects on the Earth take this into account? Yet some good models and objects can make use of the non-flat nature of it. Don't make your beliefs and overconfidence do a disservice to you and others.
